| Bimetal composite material is a kind of material which coats a layer of specialmaterials instead of pure quality or valuable materials on the base metal.It not only meetsthe operating requirement but also can avoid waste,so it has a good cost performance.With the development of the society,people’s research and demand for compositematerials increase day and day. Stainless/carbon cladding steel is a typical application ofcomposite materials in the industry.A new method to produce stainless/carbon steel composite plate is intended toresearch in this project, in which the stainless steel welded pipe and carbon steel chipsproduced during the carbon steel cutting process is used as raw materials. The concretemethod is pressing the carbon steel chips handled into the stainless steel pipes andbimetallic stocks are prepared,and then putting the stocks into the heating furnace. Finallystainless steel and carbon steel chips composite plate are rolled on a mill with bimetallicstocks.First,this paper does some study on rolling process of this kind of composite platewith experiment,which mainly includes the pressing force of carbon steel chipsã€the firsttime reductionã€the cumulative reductionã€the rolling temperature and the rolling speed. Bycomparing the shear strength and the observation of combination surface undermicrostructure, and then summarizes the influence of different rolling process ofstainless steel composite plate,finally choose the better rolling process,so we can roll theideal stainless steel/carbon steel chips composite plate.In addition, this article also does some simulation of carbon steel chips’ densitydistribution law of compacting process with the Marc finite element simulation softwareto predict the distribution of carbon steel chips in the process of actual production. Tosimulate the rolling force in the process of rolling and the change of lateral spread,thispaper chooses C15of material storage of Marc software instead of carbon steel chipsmaterials,then the simulation results and the experimental results are compared. Theresearch work in this paper will set up a good foundation for the application of the newmethod to produce stainless steel/carbon steel chips composite plate. |
