Fencing as an important measure of ecological restoration, the ecological effects which brought has become the focus of research of restoration ecology. Since the conversion of C, N, P cycle of vegetation, soil and microbial appeared in the internal ecosystem, to study C, N, P and exchange patterns in plants and soil is beneficial to understand deeply of chemometrics covariant relationship of the components of ecological recovery system that fence grazing, reveal the maintain mechanism of desert steppe ecosystem. A research conducted on the desert steppe of Ningxia. It is beneficial to analyze the impact on plants, soil and soil microbes of different enclosed years in desert steppe by analyzing comparely enclosed years of 5,8,12 and15, such as the carbon and nitrogen of plants, soil microbial biomass as well as the change and law in process of soil enzyme activities. It can provide the following conclusions:1. The growth of plant has benefit restoration in desert steppe which is fencing, specifically in the aboveground biomass of enclosed years of 5,8,12 and 15 is higher than it in grazing land. The height, coverage, aboveground biomass of vegetation characteristics also showed similar variation, which showed a trend of increased firstly and reduced lastly. The carbon, nitrogen, C:P and N:P ratio in aboveground of dominant plant in enclosed plots were higher than it in grazing plot.2. The soil bulk density showed a trend of reduced firstly and increased lastly with the increase of the enclosed; soil water content showed a reverse variation, which is rising firstly and decrease lastly; fencing could reduce the soil pH value.3.The soil organic carbon, total nitrogen and total phosphorus in enclosed plot which fencing in desert steppe were higher than it in grazing plot, and showed similar variation with the increase of the enclosed:on 12 years, it has the maximum, decreasing trend was cured after the enclosed years continue to increase. Soil microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen were higher than it in grazing plot, which indicated that the measures taken in the desert steppe can promote soil microbial activity, thereby enhancing the microbial biomass. Meanwhile, the microbial biomass C:N ratio showed a trend of decreased firstly and increased lastly with the increase of the enclosed.4. Soil urease, invertase, catalase and alkaline phosphatase activity did not show a clear law. Soil enzyme activities affected by many factors, as to the reason, we need a further study.5. We found that the relationship between plants, soil and microorganisms after fencing, the interaction between them can improve the recovery of the grassland.The results of the study showed that the vegetation restoration, soil nutrient can be improved significantly in the early stage of fencing in Ningxia desert steppe. But if the enclosure is longer than 12 years, the vegetation productivity and soil nutrient will be decreased.
