Rock-core contains an abundant of geological information.Geologists can use these valuable data to analysis the structural, material composition and physical-chemical characteristics of the subsurface environment.However, due to the limitation of practical conditions, most of the cores are kept in the natural.Because of weathering,the color of the core surface,the structure of the core and even the chemical composition have changed greatly.But the scanning-image has high fidelity and time invariance,in order to solve the above problems, the researchers have developed a dedicated core scanner.The research center of the oil field undertook tasks of core scanning work,at present,the major oil fields have done this work and have saved the data. The data includes core image and core physical parametersThere are the outer surface, longitudinal section, fluorescence images, cuttings, flakes image and porosity, permeability, saturation of the core.According to the problems of the actual work, geologists find that these data together with the coring-layers of spatial information are inseparable, at the same time with the work of the core scanning, image data and core material data are also growing. Traditional data management model is difficult to retrieve it, and it is also difficult to show the spatial relationship between different objects and related information. Taking these into consideration, we can use the WebGIS to complete the construction of this system.WebGIS is the product of which combine Internet and GIS technology. In the course of digital oilfield, domestic oil fields introduced GIS technology on oil-field-data management,and good results have been achieved.Well WebGIS is the future development trend of GIS, combine it with the core data management not only widen data management method,but also will help process the digital oilfield.So this paper research that how to using WebGIS to manage the core data in order to make up the deficiency of the traditional core management system.The research can be summarized as follows:1. The current investigation and analysis of the core management system. According to the problems in the current proposed. We plan to use WebGIS technology to service own current core graphics to better services for the oil field geologist.2. Researching the based method that construct the platform, and the image storage solution. We tell the reason why to choose the ArcGIS Server platform, and the other techniques, and narrated how to integrate it into the platform. The platform functions, composition, composition was analyzed also. And in addition we research on how to combine WebGIS, WEBGL, ASP.NET technologies and image processing with core geological study.On base of the above, we start from the system design principles to discusses the system requirements, system design, completion of system, functional module design and interface design, database design, and so on.3. Developed the core graphic management platform based on WebGIS. Using ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS API for JS, Dojo, ASP.NET and SQL Server 2008R2 technology and C# for my development language to complete the platform.4. Using the core data witch taking from some oil field blocks to test the system.In summary, this study is the application of WebGIS technology to manage the core images. Combined with some oil field blocks core graphics and text data, proposes the construction of core graphics management platform based on WebGIS ideas and solutions, explores the core image network, core network three dimensional displays and other related technical issues,and developed the core graphic management platform based on WebGIS, hoping to give oil geologists to assist...
