In this paper, based on the "Baojing County of Hunan Province 1:5 million geological disasters detailed survey project, to form a remote sensing translation, ground survey and mapping and engineering survey as the main means of Baojing County Geological Hazards distribution, development characteristics, and disasters of geological environmental conditions. On this basis, measure to choose the development of geological hazards in the main index, based on the GIS software, data processing, application of the method of contributing rate, multivariate statistical method, comprehensive analysis methods, geological disaster risk zoning and assessment. The main results of this paper include:1. Baojing County, 210 kinds of geological disasters, including the landslide survey point128, accounting for 60.95% of the total number of disaster points. Geological disasters all over the county 16 townships(towns), the other in turn the development of disaster for the unstable slope, collapse, ground collapse, debris flow and ground fissures, cracks in which only 1. The study found that the same type of geological hazards have certain characteristics.2.Geological disasters occurred mainly in the slope 45 to 60 degrees, slope shape is convex type, altitude of 300 to 600 m low mountains and hills landform; geological disasters were mainly developed in the rock and soil types is relatively hard, thin weak clastic rock group; geological disasters were mainly developed in the slope type structure reverse slope;geological disasters and Neotectonic uneven uplifting is closely related to, medium- strong uplift area and strong uplift area, geological disaster is the most developed; precipitation is the main trigger factor for the geological disaster; geological disasters by the influence of human engineering activities significantly.3. By semi quantitative multi factor index system score calculation of collapse and landslide and debris flow susceptibility score determined range partitioning, qualitative analysis of ground subsidence susceptibility range partitioning, the superposition of the two partitions of the results from maximum don’t prone to partition the final results; through the disaster take multi factor to qualitative assessment of geological disaster intensity, and then in accordance with the multi factor index system of scoring semi quantitative calculated scores of geological hazard, eventually in Baojing County, delineation of the geological hazard risk zoning.4. According to Baojing County economic characteristics and geological conditions,through the geological disaster prone area center city, town, rural residents, communications and water conservancy and electric power facilities, independent industrial and mining and other human activities more frequently the area was investigated in detail, combining has delineated the geological disaster prone area and the risk of partition results proposed Baojing County prevention regionalization scheme, and puts forward the measures for prevention and control of geological disasters.
