With the expansion of human activities, the rapid development of economy and a large amount of natural resources consumption, collapse, landslide, mud-rock flows and other geological disasters are taking on a growing trend, seriouly endanger the local people's lives and property, restrict the local economy rapid development of sustainable.Therefore, Fugu County has launched the scientific research projects: "The detailed investigation and division of geological disasters in the Fugu county" from 2007, to better improve the efficiency of disaster prevention and mitigation of the Fugu County. In Fugu County, the data of geological disasters are involved in disaster density, topography, rock type, soil type, human activities, such as rainfall, complex data types, a large amount of data. In order to effectively storage and manage the geological disasters data of Fugu County, we have adopted a geographic information system (GIS) to establish a database of geological disasters in Fugu County.This paper has cleaned up and analysed the data of landslips,landslides,mud-rock flows,ground subsidence in Fugu County, using ArcGIS platform, comprehensively designed data type, encoding, storage, the interaction properties of the graphic database and interactive database,statistical analysis of attribute information. Then using the ArcCatalog module of the Personal Geodatabase based on geological disasters in Fugu County, unify code to build attribute databases, and in the form of plug-in library, connect the form of attribute database to the graphics database, and final establish the database.Based on a database of geological disasters in Fugu County, the paper has completed the initial development of information system of geological disasters, carried on the evaluation factor extraction of landslides, collapse, mud-rock flows (disaster-point distribution density, topography, rock type, soil type, human activities rainfall),and has a quantitative evaluation based on GIS technology, then use experts to determine the weights of points, use ArcGIS geological features to district the extent of disaster-prone of the Fugu County , work out the geological disaster-prone district degree maps, Fugu County has been divided into four areas: high geological hazard-prone areas, in-prone areas, low-prone areas and no-prone areas.At last, through the analysis and evaluation of disaster-prone areas, the results are in line with the actual geological disasters of Fugu County.
