Food is very importent in human bing’s everyday life. Food storage, transportation and operation mode is an effective reflection of a country or region’s social development and economic strength level. With the social development level of our country continues to improve, the economic strength continuous to improve, people need much more qulity food. Our country also issued corresponding policies to encourage, support and guide the development of cold chain logistics. However, the development of cold chain logistics in China is very slow, and it can’t fit people’s demand. Difficulties and opportunities coexist, breaking the barrier and seizing the opportunity will enhance our country’s cold chain logistics industry.Cold chain logistics inventory is a part of cold chain logistics, which reflects the efficiency and operation level of the overall planning of cold chain logistics. Based on system dynamics and the Vensim software, this paper simulated the real environment of cold chain, and built relationship between variables with function. By comparing the traditional cold chain logistics inventory model with the VMI cold chain logistics inventory model, some relevant conclusions are obtained.Firstly, this paper describes the development status of the cold chain logistics, related laws and regulations. Through analysising domestic and international research, put forward the research framework. And then, this paper analysised cold line logistic with sistem dynamic, according to the classification, characteristics, process of cold chain logistics, and related theory of system dynamics analysis. In this paper, the traditional cold chain logistics inventory and VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) cold chain logistics inventory were sorted and modeled. After the model is constructed, this paper do some checkout:model feedback loop detection, extreme state test and sensitivity test. So that we can make sure the model is correct and relevant paraments are set reasonable. Finally, simulate the traditional cold chain logistics inventory model and VMI cold chain logistics inventory model respectively in demand of jump function, ramp function, pulse function and sin wave function. Whether corruption condion is condered is discussed in different model. And inventory variation of different demand function we can get, so that we can get some conclusions from the inventory variation.
