The Survey And Development Planning Of Chinese Materia Medica Resources In Lianyuan City

In the past more than 20 years after the third national survey on Chinese materia medica resources, a great change in requirement, contain and distribution of Chinese materia medica resources happened. In order to obtain basic information and status, and build a dynamic monitor system of Chinese materia medica resources in Lianyuan, then provide reference data for Hunan and national survey, the fourth national survey on Chinese materia medica resources in Lianyuan was conducted by selecting representative regions, setting up belt transects and sample plots, investigating quadrats, collecting and authenticating specimens, estimating contain, investigating market and so on, based on status analysis of Chinese materia medica resources. And based on survey result zoning and development planning of Chinese materia medica resources in Lianyuan were carried out combined with local natural ecological environment。The results showed as following:(1)The result of the third national survey on Chinese materia medica resources showed that there were 12807 species of Chinese materia medica resources, including 11118 medicinal plants,1574 medicinal animals, and 80 medicinal mineral in China; there were 2384 species of Chinese materia medica resources, including 2077 medicinal plants,256 medicinal animals, and 51 medicinal mineral in Hunan;and there were 712 species of Chinese materia medica resources, including 609 medicinal plants,95 medicinal animals, and 8 medicinal mineral in Lianyuan.(2)In the fourth national survey on Chinese materia medica resources in Lianyuan, field survey of 7 representative regions all over 21 villages and towns was finished,41 sample plots were set up,205 quadrats were investigated,1221 herbarium specimens were collected. Through identification 1221 specimens were classified as 165 subjects,538 families, and 759 species, including 116 key ingredients,24 new records of distribution in Hunan and 3 new species. Through market investigation 5 cultivation bases,30 cultivars,5 employed persons,20 Private doctors were visited and 47 Folk prescriptions were obtained.(3) Based on survey result, combined with local natural ecological environment, development requirement and trend of chinese herbal medicine market, referred to Comprehensive agricultural regionalization, Zoning of Chinese materia medica resources in Lianyuan was divided into 3 Level 1 areas and 9 Level 2 areas, and regional characteristics, distribution of Chinese materia medica resources and cultivation characteristics were discussed. Meanwhile development planning of Chinese materia medica resources in Lianyuan was carried out based on protection, planting, processing, marketing and comprehensive development and utilization.
