With the development of the Internet map, LBS (Location Based Service) and other geographic information applications, indoor navigation has been widespread concerned in industry and academia for it compensate for the limitations of outdoor map applications, has a large potential user groups, and driven by nnovative technology and Application requirements.Online electronic map vendors and mobile terminal vendors such as Google and Nokia, have been offering indoor navigation software and applications. For shopping malls are important carriers of the city crowd, to carry out the research on indoor navigation and the application development, not only has the typicality of application, but also easier to promote the formation of specialized products of indoor navigation.For defects in current indoor navigation applications such as map can only be indicate, sense of reality is poor, the model is too simple, and path planning is lack, combined with the development trend of indoor navigation applications in future, GIS from outdoor to indoor will face to contradictions between the rapid development of applications and lag theory, technology and methods.The main research content and achieve results as follows:(1) Analysis of the Indoor spacial structure and function of a shopping mall; combined with the indoor navigation application requirements, research and establish a geographic feature classification system which contains 4 categories,14 classes and 85 subclasses;drawing CityGML, research and designindoor three-dimensional navigation levels of detailbased on block, frame and floor.(2) Based on geographic feature classification and levels of detail of indoor 3D navigation ofshopping mall, from the perspective of the elements, network, and geometric research and establish geographic data conceptualmodel and logical model of indoor 3D navigation; create rules based on GML, CityGML specification and its application models, to designand develop the XML schema of indoor 3D navigation model of geographic data.(3) The paper selects Nanjing New-town Plaza as the experimental object, research indoor 3D navigation data collection and modeling methods, design algorithm and path planning processof 3D navigation, to verify the proposed indoor 3D navigation model through the development of the experimental system.
