Wave energy is a renewable energy which has the huge development potential. In recent years, many countries are gradually expanding to develop wave energy. However, the existing wave energy power generation device have the shortcomings of low conversion efficiency and higher costs So it is very important to develop a new wave power generation device which is high efficiency and low cost for reducing environmental pollution and easing the global energy crisis. With the deepening research on power generation technology, a duck wave energy power generation device has gradually attract people’s attention, its first-order wave absorption efficiency surpass any other device, but the device of hydraulic energy storage system is very complex, it has not widely used until now.In order to simplify the structure of the duck device, the thesis designed spring energy storage system. The frequency domain parameters of the duck which include added mass, radiation damping, motion response operator, excitation force response operator are all simulated by AQWA software. The domain motion of the duck body under the hydraulic damping system is also be simulated. The resonance frequency between duck body and incident wave is determined by the time domain simulation results. According to the frequency domain results, the wave force acting on the duck surface is obtained, moreover the equation of motion of the duck body and duck axis for elastic system is also be established. So the conversion efficiency of the elastic duck wave energy collection converter is solved. The optimal converter model is determined by the orthogonal test method. The hydrodynamic characteristics of the optimal model are analyzed by time domain simulation. In order to verify the accuracy of the simulation method, the experimental model was manufactured and the experiment was carried out in flume. The experimental results show that the simulation curves of the time domain parameters of the duck body are the same as the experimental curves.
