As problems of energy and environment increasing seriously, public demand for renewable resources is growing. Wave energy is a kind of widespread renewable resource, which could store large amount of energy. Therefore, wave energy has become a research hotspot in the energy industry. Oscillating Buoy wave energy conversion technology has simple structure and high reliability. However, this technique still faces problems such as low conversion efficiency and high cost. This article mainly discusses how external force and wave parameters influence on utilization efficiency of Oscillating Buoy wave energy, which could provides reference for device design in practical engineering. The main research contents include the following aspects:On the platform of FLUENT software, a two-dimensional numerical wave flume has been developed based on the application of boundary generation of waves and mass source generation of waves. By using the method of time and frequency domain analysis, this study compares the calculated results with classical wave theoretical value, which reveals the application conditions and features of numerical wave flume. Based on the analysis of two-dimensional numerical wave flume, this study joins the role of wind and flow into the method of boundary generation of waves, which works to establish a two-dimensional and three-dimensional wind- sea- flow combined numerical flume.After completing three-dimensional numerical simulation of viscous flow around circular cylinder, this study compares the circular cylinder stress with current formal structure, which leads to accurate and economical grid size, time step and turbulence model. Following Theoria motus coporum solidorum and Newton’s second law, float motion equation has been established.Based on Oscillating Buoy model in three-dimensional wave flume, this study analyzes how different external force factors(spring force, quality force and damping force) and wave parameters influence on utilization efficiency of Oscillating Buoy wave energy. According to this interaction, the article further reveals the mechanism of the utilization of Oscillating Buoy wave energy.
