With the development of electronic high-tech industry the influence of thunder and lightning disasters to people’s production and living is becoming more and more widely. Meteorological industry demands for thunder and lightning business is becoming increasingly diversity. The visualization analysis research of thunder and lightning information is deepening. Web GIS(network geographic information system) is an effective way to store, express, analyze geospatial information and share, interact data rapidly via the Internet. Thunder and lightning information includes spatial information and attribute information. Using maps expression and spatial analysis capabilities of Web GIS, combined with thunder and lightning information, is another way to study thunder and lightning information applications. It can more visually express, process and analyze thunder and lightning information in the network, and the results can be used for monitoring and early warning of thunder and lightning, potential prediction of thunder and lightning, information dissemination of thunder and lightning,etc. It has a profound impact on thunder and lightning disaster prevention and mitigation.Based on the current status of thunder and lightning information integration and visual analysis in meteorological industry and characteristics of mass multi-source heterogeneous of thunder and lightning information, using atmospheric electric field data, lightning data, radar images in Jiangsu Province, combining principles of GIS, thunder and lightning information integration as a goal, C # as the development language, reference to domestic and foreign researchers and the actual demand of thunder and lightning operations research, using Open Layers, Ext JS, WCF, ASP.NET and other technologies, construction of multi-source heterogeneous thunder and lightning information database, thunder and lightning data will be integrated into a system based on Web GIS, comprehensively carrying out lightning information management, application, analysis, expanding Web GIS applications in meteorological industry, to a certain extent, providing the application of thunder and lightning information with promotion of technology. The main work is as follows:(1) The establishment of a multi-source heterogeneous massive thunder and lightning information database. Most thunder and lightning information is stored as text, composition and structure of the data is different, unified data management provides a good data foundation for thunder and lightning information integration expression andanalysis.(2) The integration of a rich visual expression of thunder and lightning information. The information expression and focus of Radar data, the atmospheric electric field and lightning data used in this paper are different, you need to minimize the visual impact of different data visualization, and more information can be expressed as clearly as possible.(3) Thunder and lightning data-related operations achieve a service plan. In the expression process of integration of real-time visualization of lightning data, getting thunder and lightning data query efficiency forms contradiction of massive thunder and lightning data, you need to adopt a different plan for the needs of data access.(4) This paper studies the distributed systems architecture design which meets the real-time and non-real-time integration of thunder and lightning data and software development.
