Food Habits Of Badger(Meles Leucurus)in The ZhangGuangcai Mountain, Heilongjiang Province

In this study, diets of the badger Meles leucurus were studied by scat analysis in Zhangguangcai Mountain from 2011 to 2013,and the changes of diets of the badger were copared between different seasons.160 fecal samples were analysised, the results showed:(1). The badger are Opportunistic predatorand are not specialist on earthworms. (2). Depended on the percentage of occurrence, the main food composition of badger are earthworms, insects, snails and Actinidia kolomikta, the percentage of occurrence are 98.75%,88.13%,58.75% and 28.13%; Depended on the percentage of biomass, the main food composition of badger are Actinidia kolomikta, earthworms, mammals and insects, the percentage of biomass are 47.67%、27.49%、7.80% and 6.27%. (3). During different seasons, the food compositions of badger have some differences, but the percentage of occurrence of earthworms, insects and snails are relatively stable. (4). In the study, the Shannon-Wiener Index H’of badger is 1.508, Evenness Index E is 0.629, Standard Levins niche breadth index Bsta was 0218. (5). Between different seasons, though the the percentage of occurrence do not change so much, the percentage of biomass changed so much, the percentage of biomass of earthworms reduced rapidly, the percentage of biomass of incets is the hiagest during the summer. (6). Mammals, Actinidia kolomikta and corns just appeared in spring and autumn,but mammals are more important in spring,and corns and Actinidia kolomikta are more important in autumn. (7). The worms and snails changed a little between different seasons. (8). Bird and amphibians appeared just in one season, bird is in spring, amphibians is in autumn.
