The Research On Effects Of Coal Mining On Groundwater Environment In Loess Hilly Regions Of Qing Yang

Water is the source of life.In our country because of a serious lack of groundwater in most cities of Northern areas,excessive or over exploitation of groundwater for demand of production and living is common.Many areas groundwater is over-exploited so seriously that it can’t restore balance.This phenomenon is much outstanding in coal mining regions.Q ingYang is rich in coal resources and producing area,however,it is one of the cities with the most serious water shortages,so it is very important for protecting the environment and the sustainable development of social economy in Q ingYang that we make a further research into influence of coal mining on groundwater environment.Five mining areas of Q ingYang coal bases is the main researched areas.Based on coal geological exploration and geological data and mapping analysis,it analyses hydrogeologic condition and occurrence characteristic of first mined seam,and influence of coal mining on groundwater environment at aspects of water-quality, water supply and hydrogeological environment.According to geological structures from south to north,the height of coal minning is about 12 meters,it makes ground surface down from 9 meters to 20 meters.On basis of height regulations and results to calculations by normal formulas of two zones(fissure zone and caving zone) of coal seams in coal researched areas,it compares height and spacing between first mined seam and main aquifer.And then it comes to the conclusion that coal mining seams of most areas in coal fields have little effect on Quaternary pore cranny phreatic water aquife,and Lower Cretaceous sandstone and sandy conglomerate pore- fissure confined aquifer is linked together by diversion fissure zone.Becuase of abundant water and high water table,it makes mines filled with water,and coal mining have an strong influence on aquifers.By analysis of influence of mining coal on direction of groundwater runoff,recharge and drainage condition and prediction analysis of the level of effect of coal mining on groundwater in main reseached areas,this article makes suggestions and measure to slow the effect of coal mining on groundwater.
