Recent years, Shanxi coal industry itself implements merging and reorganization continually for the purpose of averaging up the concentration ratio and standard of coal industry, promoting optimization and upgrading of industrial structure, and then meeting the requirements of harmonious development between human and nature. Meanwhile, with the coal mining scales expanding after integrating, the impact on groundwater resources is growing to be concerned by people. Shanxi Shouyang Duanwang Coal Industry Group Co., Ltd is located in Pingtou town, Shouyang County, Jinzhong, Shanxi. As the main source of the water for life and manufacture to Pingtou town are mainly from the groundwater, The influence on the groundwater of Duanwang Coal Industry really’mining really concerns local residents’health and everyday routines. Based on the research background of the coal mining of Shanxi Shouyang Duanwang Coal Industry Group Co.,Ltd, this article is to evaluate and analyze the discharge of groundwater by means of field surveying and testing to hydrogeological condition of research area, and to simulate the change process of groundwater level in the mining period by Visual Modflow software, thereby determing the influence of coal mining on the groundwater in the study area and providing scientific basis for the safety of residents’using water. furthermore, it also offers a major consultation for rational development and utilization of groundwater resources and the harmonious development between human and nature water environment in the area. This article, which is set in normal production period of Duanwang coal mine which has been merged and regrouped, generalizes The overlying aquifer damaged by ming which are mainly made up by the coal seam of the Taiyuan Formation of Upper Carboniferous limestone fractured aquifers, permian Shanxi Formation and Xiashihezi Formation Sandstone fractured aquifers a whole to be viewed as target water bearing bed. Depending on coal mine developing and using plan, The underground water level drop caused by coal mining is treated as exploitation of groundwater by "big hole". Combining hydrogeological condition and Development and utilization scheme of Duanwang, the model does stream simulation computing in three period of time:2.17a、32.7a、60.2a, then it can be predicted the influence of target water bearing bed due to coal mining when the three period of time finished.Simulated result shows:1. In the process of coal mining, cover water-bearing strata will be destroyed. An irregular depression-cone comes into being with goaf as the center. As the Mining working face is marching and the depression-cone is bigger, the depression-cone becomes larger and the center of aquifer stays Drainage----semi-drainage status.2. In the same period of time, along with flow direction of groundwater, the influenced distance of lower reaches is greater than the influenced distance of upper reaches.3. When Duanwang coal mine works2.17years, the influenced area of cover water-bearing strata will be9.25km2. After32.7years, it will be28.5km2. When the whole mining finishes, the influenced area of groundwater will be56km2.4. Combined with predicted result, it can be analyzed that there will be a corresponding damage of the quaternary alluvium of pore aquifer in central mine field and western upper aquifer. In the southeast of mine field, the porous aquifers in the top of target water bearing bed is less influenced by coal mining.5. Based on predicted result and combined with current drinking water situation of the residents in and beyond the Duanwang coal mine, there will little affect surrounding residents’living water when mining in2.17a; there will a great impact when mining in32.7a for the residents in and around the east of mine field to get water from Permian fissure; At the end of coal mining, there will a great impact for the residents in and around the mine field to get groundwater as living water; It will be especially an unrecoverable damage for two feed well in central water supply area of Pingtou town.
