The AD-wavelength ozone effective absorption coefficient calculated by Komhyr et al., recommended by the international ozone committee (IOC), Beginning January1,1992, was took as a standard ozone effective absorption coefficient of global Dobson ozone spectrophotometers for total ozone column observation in each stations by the world meteorological organization (WMO). Considering the standard effective ozone absorption coefficient was without territoriality and seasonality, for its calculation was based on the standard ozone profile at45°N and the assumed effective temperature46.3℃, it can lead error of the Dobson total ozone column observation. Combining with the electrochemical ozone sounding data of balloon-borne ECC, the satellite data of NOAA-19Solar Backscatter Ultraviolet (SBUV/2) ozone instrument and the temperature data of the ECMWF, this paper defines the ECC-SBUV ozone profiles and the corresponding temperature profiles in Kunming for each month, as well as each season, from surface to60km. And the profiles result from the ECC data for the lower layers and the SBUV or the ECMWF data for the upper layers. Based on the ozone profiles and the corresponding temperature profiles, the ozone effective absorption coefficients for Dobson wavelength or pair in Kunming are calculated, to realize the correction of the effective ozone absorption coefficient in Kunming.It is found that the AD-wavelength effective ozone absorption coefficient of Kunming changes between1.42~1.43(atm-cm)-1, smaller than the corresponding standard value of1.432(atm-cm)-1, with relative deviation between0.1%~0.8%. Corrected by the amended AD-wavelength effective ozone absorption coefficient of Kunming, the Dobson total ozone column in Kunming increases0.1~2DU than actual measurement. Consistent with the AD-wavelength effective ozone absorption coefficient, its relative deviation ranges from0.1%to0.8%. Among them,0.1%0.2%from the temperature sensitivity of the ozone absorption cross-section, the rest comes from the regional and seasonal differences of ozone vertical distribution and other influence factors of ozone absorption coefficient. The calculation of Dobson total ozone column with the amended AD-wavelength effective ozone absorption coefficient is more sensitive to low ozone. The lower total ozone column, be better the modification effect will be. With the increase of total ozone column, the modification effect will be weakened. In consequence, the modification effect is better in autumn and winter for the lower total ozone column, than other seasons.In addition, this paper discusses the relationship between the effective height of ozone, the effective temperature, the total ozone column and the effective ozone absorption coefficient, and finds the tight connections between them. Specifically, when the total ozone column increases, the effective ozone absorption coefficient also increases, as well as the lower effective height of ozone and the higher effective temperature. Thus, this paper also discusses the vertical distribution of ozone and temperature on the effect of the effective ozone absorption coefficient, in each ozone layer, although the ozone column is less than a quarter of the total ozone column, it is discovered that the complicated and changing troposphere has an important influences on the ozone effective absorption coefficient, the same with the ozone high value area in stratospheric around25km which accounts for more than two-thirds of the total ozone column, the effect of ozone on weather and climate comes from its strong absorption of the B-band sun’s ultraviolet. Hence, this discovery has some theoretical significance on the study that the weather climate effect caused by the ozone in troposphere.
