Huidong county of Sichuan province is located in Sichuan-Yunnan-Guizhou Ironand copper polymetallic mineralization belt, which belongs to the Huili-Kunming riftzone of Yunnan-Guizhou-Sichuan diamond parcel of southwestern margin of theYangtze platform, is presinian iron-copper-gold concentrated distribution area. Thereare two major faults in the study area, the S-N and E-W, of which S-N trending faultis regional fault zone, while iron, copper ore is mainly controlled by E-W faults, theage of the mineralization is Mesoproterozoic.Through the field geological investigation and sampling analysis of iron-copperdeposits in Huidong area, summarizing the spatial relationship and genetic connectionof orebody with host strata and fault structure, studying comprehensively of orecomposition, texture and structure, deposit geology and geochemical characteristics ofrocks and ores, the author made the following understanding:(1)Measured LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb age of corcovadite of Jinsuoqiaomining area is1455±38Ma, the corcovadite is Jinningian rock mass.(2)Ore-bearing rocks of Jinsuoqiao iron-gold deposit, Ertaipo iron deposit,Shuangshuijing iron deposit of Huidong area are mainly MesoproterozoicQinglongshan Group of dolomite, limestone, phyllite. The ore body produces indifferent horizons of Qinglongshan group formation appears to be stratiform-like andlenticular, it is intrusive contact relationship between ore body and wallrock.(3)Symbiosis between iron ore and copper-gold mineralization is common inHuidong area, thereinto, copper-gold mineralization is relatively later and oftensuperimposes on iron ore. Mineral assemblages are mainly two types of iron ore:hematite+carbonate+quartz,hematite+quartz. Copper ore mineral assemblage is:quartz+carbonate+sericite, thereinto, carbonate formed slightly later. Among thephenomenon copper-gold superimposing on iron ore, the rock is phyllic rockcombined with quartz, sericite and a small amount of sulfide with fine granularity; Allthese indicate that mineralization is fluid mineralization.(4)the iron ore of huidong eare is given priority to with hematite ore, Quartz veinin mining area is relatively develop; Copper mineralization mainly chalcopyrite,thePyrite and sphalerite, etc is subordinate, the Quartz and carbonate veins in miningarea is relatively developed,more obviously controlled by interlayer fracture zone. (5)In terms of the spatial distribution of ore bodies, the distribution range ofCopper and gold mine body in huidong region is relatively small, general distributionin the the center of the hydrothermal mineralization region, Or distribution in thegeographical position is relatively low, or distribution On the outer edge of the ironore main metallogenic province.(6)the heavy rare earth element of iron ore on huidong area ertaipo iron ore andshuangshuijing iron ore is relatively rich, Characterized by moderate negative Ceanomaly, No Eu or Eu anomaly is not obvious.Iron ore is characterized by significantpositive abnormal Ru, The Pd/Ir average is22.9.
