Dahongshan iron-copper mine, Xinping County, Yunnan Province, is large-scale multi-metal deposit contained iron, copper and other metals.In this paper, after the comprehensive collection of data about deposit geosciences of Dahongshan iron mine and copper mine, the typical Dahongshan deposit is analyzed deeply, lithology, magmation, tectogenesis and the similar ore-controlling factors, mine, mineral occurrence, geophysical and geochemical exploration and the similar features of abnormal ore-forming information are studied, finally, the metallogenic regulation of Dahongshan iron-copper mine is summed up. In this paper, it is indicated that this area has the metallogenic geological condition of large-scale even super large-scale iron, copper and polymetal converged and immense potential of mine exploration and prospecting iron, copper or iron-copper target areas were predicted, which has some certain practical guiding meaning to exploring mine in this area in future.Through the studies above, the main results are as follows:(1)The depression belt in middle regions in Yunnan province controls the basement of Dahongshan group to North-South. The structure of basement is composed of one group of East-west trending or similarly East-west trending anticline, syncline and fracture zones, and the mine is controlled by tectogenesis and distributed as East-West belt-shaped. The fracture zones before East-West trending mineralization controlled Volcanic Eruption in old see bottom and the spread of mineralization belts.(2)The center of volcanicity is the richest area of mine resources and volcanicity is very advantageous to mineralization. Therefore, the direction of mine exploration along the center is effective.(3)Through the analysis and study in depth on genesis in the area, the metavolcanic-metamorphite system in Dahongshan group is regarded as the most significant ore source bed, and the multi-cyclic shearing mineralization and supraposition of magmation in Dahongshan Period and Yanshan Period is regarded as the key factors to mineralization.(4)In Dahongshan ore field, each mineral deposit has similarities and comparability with others in the fields of ore-hosting strata, geological structure, magmatic rock, the type and regulation of metallogenic zone occurrence, the features of mineral assemblage. Based on the regulations above and other methods like geochemical and Physicochemical are combined, it is pointed out that the deposit has the geology condition and huge ore-prospecting potentials of superlarge deposit of iron, copper and polymetallic mineralization convergence. It is predicted the iron, copper ore-prospecting target, for this area Future exploration work has a certain practical significance.In the last part the article applies the basic principle, methods, techniques and combines the metallogenic regularity of mineral deposit, ore-searching criteria by geophysical exploration and geochemical exploration, and then make the predication of ore deposit in Dahongshan Copper Miner,11 important target are circumscribed and the direction for prospecting for mineral deposits has been indicated.
