Liquid atomization is that the external force breaks the interaction of droplet surface tension with the viscous force and makes the droplet split into smaller particles. Electrostatic atomization is the interaction of the electric force, the Coulomb force, the droplet surface tension with the viscous force leads to the droplet breakage. Compared to other atomization methods, the droplet is obtained by electrostatic atomization having the smaller diameter, more uniform and dispersion degree of single space and other advantages. And adjusting different working parameters can get different size droplets. Electrostatic atomization has been widely used in various industry fields such as medical material, preparation of industry thin film material of high tech materials preparation, in the spraying of pesticides in agriculture and forestry, in motor vehicles fuel, in Electrostatic spraying and electrostatic printing and so on. However, coupling electric field and flow field, the mechanism of electrostatic spraying crushing is complex and based on current research, the mechanism is not very clear. Research on electrostatic atomization has three main aspects:1) the experimental aspects of macroscopic, the general use of indirect measurement method;2) the numerical simulation study;3) numerical simulation and experimental study of combination. Combining the pressure atomization and electrostatic atomization, based on some existing atomization performance research and data, this paper is using two phase flow electrostatic atomization nozzle to analysis atomization performance and has the following aspects:1) Electrostatic spraying and liquid charge mode are introduced in detail;2)Based on the existing research, a droplet size distribution mathematical model of dimensional distribution was established3)Based on the mathematical regression mode studies and the dimensionless particl size distribution, particle size distribution was established about influence of voltage, pressure and flow rate of gas and liquid.4)An experimental device system was built. The system contents respectively the power supply system, liquid supply, gas supply system, measuring system, control unit. This part mainly introduces the bidirectional flow atomizing nozzle device of the system, its innovation points and the advantages and the droplet collecting and measuring and recording device. By the established mathematical model of two phase flow, prediction of electrostatic atomization particles and the distribution was made, and the model applicable scope was got through experimental dat.
