Physiological response mechanism of Clonal plants to nutrients may has no essential difference compared with non-clonal plants, but the effect may exist between physiological integration of clonal plants ramets will certainly have a significant influnce on ecological behavior of the entire cloning plants and growth. Therefore, study on nutrient physiological integration between clonal plants ramets not only has the particularity, but also has very important research and application value. Study on the integration features of nutrient Physiology of clonal plant Zoysia, can also help us to deeply understand the Zoysia japonica adaptation strategy on nutrient resource heterogeneity habitat, and have an important guiding significance for the future Zoysia grass Greenbelt, lawn grass’ s scientific fertilization and reasonable management. The method of pot culture was used to investigate the effects of different concentrations fertilizer on growth and other characteristics of Zoysia, The experiment was divided into ten groups, the connected and severed ramets of the stoloniferous herb zoysia both had five groups, each group was set up five treatments, each treatment had three repeat. The fertilizer was set up three concentration gradient: low(the same amount of distilled water), medium(20% high concentration), high(7.085 g NH4NO3, 2.063 g Na H2PO4 and 2.368 g KCL), applied to the same amount of distilled water to the control group. By comparing changes of the different treatment of Zoysia growth indicators, chlorophyll indexs, resistance physiological indicators, physiological and biochemical indicators, to study the effects of soil nutrients on growth and physiological characteristics of Zoysia. The main findings are as follows:1.for the above and below ground biomass of Zoysia, in the treatment of mother plant medium nutrient, higher nutrient fertilization, the above and below ground biomass had smaller increase rate than the ramets disconnected, but the connected ramet had bigger increase rate than the ramets disconnected. It was because, when the Zoysia mother plant in a relatively eutrophic and sub-strains of relatively poor nutritional condition, there may exist a certain physiological integration between ramets, nutrient delivery from the mother plant to the sub-strains, to maintain its normal growth. When the Zoysia sub-strains in a relatively eutrophic and the mother plant of relatively poor nutritional condition, there was no different between the connected and disconnected of the mother plant above and below ground biomass, this might because the physiological integration was directional. The Zoysia underground/aboveground biomass also had such integration rule.2. For chlorophyll a, fertilization treatments had varying increased degrees on connected ramets chlorophyll a; when Ramets disconnected, chlorophyll a of the mother plant, sub-strains increased only in their high nutrient, medium nutrient, compared to the control. It was because, when the Zoysia mother plant or sub-strains in a relatively eutrophic and the connected sub-strains or mother plant of relatively poor nutritional condition, there may exist a certain physiological integration between ramets, to maintain its normal growth. And chlorophyll b and chlorophyll a / b did not have this rule.3. For the activity of SOD, CAT, fertilization treatments had varying improved degrees on connected ramets; For the content of MDA, fertilization treatments had varying reduced degrees on connected ramets.when Ramets disconnected, the activity of SOD, CAT of the mother plant, sub-strains increased only in their high nutrient, medium nutrient, the content of MDA of the mother plant, sub-strains reduced only in their high nutrient, medium nutrient, compared to the control. It was because, when the Zoysia mother plant or sub-strains in a relatively eutrophic and the connected sub-strains or mother plant of relatively poor nutritional condition, there may exist a certain physiological integration between ramets, to maintain its normal growth. For the activity of POD, fertilization treatments had varying increased degrees on connected ramets it; when Ramets disconnected, the activity of POD of the mother plant, sub-strains increased only in their high nutrient, medium nutrient, compared to the control. It was because, when the Zoysia mother plant in a relatively eutrophic and the connected sub-strains t of relatively poor nutritional condition, there may exist a certain physiological integration between ramets, to maintain its normal growth. When the Zoysia sub-strains in a relatively eutrophic and the mother plant of relatively poor nutritional condition, there was no different between the connected and disconnected of the POD activity, this might because the physiological integration was directional.4. For the content of Soluble protein, crude fiber, fertilization treatments had varying increased degrees on connected ramets; For the content of Starch, fertilization treatments had varying reduced degrees on connected ramets.when Ramets disconnected, the Soluble protein, crude fiber content of the mother plant, sub-strains increased only in their high nutrient, medium nutrient, the Starch content of the mother plant, sub-strains reduced only in their high nutrient, medium nutrient, compared to the control. It was because, when the Zoysia mother plant or sub-strains in a relatively eutrophic and the connected sub-strains or mother plant of relatively poor nutritional condition, there may exist a certain physiological integration between ramets, to maintain its normal growth. For the content of reduced sugar, fertilization treatments had varying decreased degrees on connected ramets. But the mother plant in the sub-strains fertilization treatments, there was no significant reduce compared to the control. When Ramets disconnected, the reduced sugar content of the mother plant, sub-strains reduced only in their high nutrient, medium nutrient, compared to the control. It was because, when the Zoysia mother plant in a relatively eutrophic and the connected sub-strains in a poor nutritional condition, there may exist a certain physiological integration between ramets. When the Zoysia sub-strains in a relatively eutrophic and the mother plant of relatively poor nutritional condition, there was no different between the connected and disconnected of the reduced sugar content, this might because the physiological integration was directional. And due to the influence of fertilization on soluble sugar content was too small to determine whether there existed physiological integration.
