Quaternary glacier on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is the production of tectonic uplift and global glacial climate coupled, glacier development and climate change is closely related, research on glacial sequence and its relationship with climatic fluctuations not only enables us to understand the evolutionary history of the glacier, but also has the guiding role for predicting the trend of glaciers. Therefore, it has a very important scientific value. In recent decades, with the development of various dating techniques and is widely used in glaciations research, we have accumulated a great deal of dating data,it provided strong evidence for us to understand the evolutionary history of the glacier. Based on the statistic analysis of the existing dating data including OSL, ERS, CRN and 14 C ages, this paper discusses the relationship between the glaciations and climate changes in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The study acquires the conclusions as follow:Through the review of various dating methods used in glaciations research, we find out the problems of various methods, including: Experiment and test chemical processing large impacted the exposure age, latitude and altitude can affect the intensity of the mineral sun retreat, the reliability of ESR remains to be seen, pollution problems affected the accuracy of field sampling of 14 C method and so on. Statistics the dating data of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, we find out the distribution of these data, in space shown as south more and north less; in time domain shown as last glacial has the most date, Holocene has less than last glacial, before the last glacial has only a little date.Based on the statistic analysis of the existing dating data, we discussed the relationship between glacier fluctuations and climate change at a variety of temporal scales. The result shown that, since Holocene the glaciations in conformity with the global several cooling events, but the precipitation curves did not show obvious fluctuation. From the perspective of the distribution of dating data, marine glaciers is more developed than mainland glacier, may be the monsoon rainfall impact on it. Since the last glacial, the glaciations seems to be closely associated with rapid climate change events, in addition, the volatile precipitation curves, especially in the MIS3, Relatively cold damp the climate is cold and damp, this provide the advantages in the development of the glacier. Before the last glacial, glacier began full development in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau because of the Kunhuang movement and the middle- Pleistocene Revolution.Comprehensive research achievements of glacier recent changes in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, research data show that over the past century, the glacier is in a shrinking state as a whole, from the perspective of the different parts, the glacier retreated larger in south and southeast of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, in commonly at 4 m/a~35 m/a, and in the central and northern part the glacial change amplitude is relatively small, in commonly at 2m/a~10m/a. This phenomenon shows that t marine glacier compared with the mainland and Antarctic glaciers, the more sensitive response to climate changes.
