Building The Query And Management System About Toponym Temporal Data Based On TGIS

Toponym is important elements of basic geographic information, with the in-depth developing of digital-city and smart-city, toponym is widely used in practical work in various fields, which is an entrance of querying to lots of information. But the process of toponym’s temporal changes has not been well expressed, most toponym query system contains only the information under a certain moment.In order to store the historical information of toponym, and realize the history query of toponym. This thesis applys the TGIS(Temporal GIS) theory in the construction of toponym database and query system, provideing a framework and model based on TGIS for the construction of county’s toponym Information System, making a solution to the visualization of the toponym historical information. This paper realize the effective use of the toponym work’s results in the field of public service. Details are as follows:(1) First, the paper analyzes the temporal course of the toponym change, focusing on the characteristics of toponym temporal data in county, then summarizes its spatial and temporal variation, laying the foundation for the construction of a suitable temporal data model; through investigating the visualization methods about temporal data of toponym, shows the temporal process of the toponym’ changes in a better way.(2)Based on analyzing the existing Spatio-Temporal Data Model, the paper considering the characteristics of the changes about county toponym, This thesis combines sequent snapshots model with Base state with amendments, building a county toponym temporal data model; by leading the time into tuple-levelversion, achieves the mapping from temporal county names data model to relational databases; using the survey data of Fuding toponym, complies the temporal place-names database of Fuding City.(3)Based on WebGIS, using JSP, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Ajax and other technologies, the paper achieves the query and management system about toponym temporal data of Fuding. Realizes the query function about the property, time and space of toponym, visualizes the query results and achieves the database maintenance functions of new toponym adding, toponym changing and toponym cancelling.
