The medicinal plant resources in Yangxian area were surveyed by quadrat method,and then analyzes the flora features and medicinal feaures of medicinal plant and species diversity characteristics in this study, in order to provide a theoretical reference for the exploitation of medicinal plants in Yangxian. The main conclusions are as follows:1.The flora features of medicinal plant resources in YangxianThere were abundant resources of medicinal plants in Yangxian, they include 104 families,268 genera and 361 species, which include 7 species(belonging to 6 genera in 5 families) of gymnosperms, 344 species(belonging to 254 genera in 92 families) of angiosperms and 10 species medicinal(belong to 8 genera in 7 families) of ferns; Families which include2-5 genera and genera which include 1 specie have an advantage in number and proportion. There are 9 areal-types and 6 subtypes of families, 13 areal-types and 10 subtypes of genera in Yangxian medicinal plants. The tropical and temperate components are both dominant in the areal-types of medicinal plants families and genera, which accounting for 93.66% and 81.66% respectively(except world distribution).The medical plants in Yangxian have an abundant species and various distribution patterns, temperate and tropical floristic elements were clear in nature; Moreover, the medicinal plants had some old components, but there were less endemic elements in the area.2. The medicinal feaures of medicinal plant resources in YangxianRoot and rhizome of the medicinal plant used as medicines are the most of medicinal plant resources in the area,which has 96 species, accounting for 27.67% of the total, most of which are herbaceous plants and then the whole plant, which has 92 species, accounting for 26.51% of the total; the species of cold and cool in nature are the most, which has 103 and 50, accounting for 30.47% and 14.79% of the total, respectively. The medicinal plants of warm and flat in nature have 96 species and 88 species, respectively, accounting for 28.41% and 26.04% of the total, respectively. In Yangxian, there are 130 species with bitter 107 species of sweet medicine of medicinal plants, which accounting for 38.46% and 31.66% of the total, respectively; There are 125 species of medicinal plants with heat effect up, which accounting for 37.54% of the total.3. The medicinal plant species diversity characteristics in YangxianChanges in species diversity of vegetation types have their own characteristics in the area, tree layer is minimum, shrub layer is large, herbaceous layer is maximum in richness index, H value and D value.but the change of J values is more complex.The species richness of tree layer and herbaceous layer have a significant and the species richness of shrub layer has no correlation to altitude by a parabolic equation fitting.In summary, the resources of medicinal plants of Yangxian is rich, The flora features of this region presented as high quantity and ratio of families with 2-5 genus, families with 1 genus and genus with 1 kind of medicinal plants.The quanlities of plants are mainly of tropical and temperate zone in each distribution type. The medicinal feaures of this region presented as roots and rhizomes used as medicine are the most, and more for herbs, The medicinal feaures in nature with cold and cool are the most. The feaures in smell with bitter are the most;The medicinal with the properties of antipyretic are the most. Species diversity in the region showed the smallest tree layer, a large shrub layer, herb layer maximum. Medicinal Plant Community total species richness, species richness of tree layer and herb layer species richness with increasing altitude can be fitted with a parabolic equation, there is a significant correlation between species richness and altitude, but the bush no correlation between the level of species richness and altitude. The changes of the species richness of the medicinal plant,tree layer and herbaceous layer with increasing of elevation can fit by a parabolic equation; The species richness and altitude have a significant correlation,but there is no correlation between the species richness of shrub layer and altitude.
