| Insects of the family Latridiidae are mycetophagous beetle. They occur in allzoogeographical regions of the world. As beetles associated with stored products, they havean important economic significance. The thesis deals with taxonomy of the family Latridiidaefrom China. The research history of Latridiidae is reviewed both for China and worldwide.Their morphology, and the material and methods, as well as their geographical distribution areintroduced. In this thesis,10genera and42species are included, of which1species is new toscience and6species are newly reported from China. A checklist of world Latridiidae andkeys to all genera and species are given.
