Taxonomic Study On Anthicidae(Coleoptera:Polyphaga:Tenebrionoidea)from Several Parts Of China

The family Anthicidae is a moderately diverse family of Tenebrionoidea, Polyphaga in Coleoptera, including more than3500 species around the world and 153 species in China.This dissertation focuses on the taxonomic study of the Anthicidae from several provinces of China. The research history of Anthicidae at home and abroad is introduced, the taxonomic status and phylogenetic analysis is summerised, and the morphology is described in details as well.35 sepcies in 9 genera of 3 subfamilies are recorded and described in details based on examination of all specimens of the family Anthicidae deposited in the Entomological Museum of Ningxia University and author’s own collection, and synonyms and citations of each taxon are listed in chronological order. Keys to the subfamilies, genera and species are provided based on male adult. The photos of all the species are provided, as well as male and female genitalia. A checklist of Anthicidae from China is provided in the end.Three species are described as new species to science:Anthelephila sterndentata sp. nov., Yunnanomonticola kunmingensis sp. nov. and Spintus triprocessus sp. nov.18 species is reported for the first time from the country:Anthelephila corbetti, A. paviei, A. ninus, A.praeses,A. cyanea,A. bramina coiffaiti, A. rufopicea, A. ruficollis, A. cochleola, Anthicus ephippium, A. niger, A. ater, A. luteipes, Sapintuspubescens, Notoxus litigiosus, Macratria griseosellata sauteri, M. rufescens and Nitorus suasum.Type specimens and specimens of the new recorded are deposited in the Entomological Museum of School of Agriculture, Ningxia University, Yinchuan.
