Study Of The Changbai Mountain Tianchi Volcano Risk Management

Tianchi Volcano is the largest dormant volcano with attention to eruptamong the volcanoes in Changbai Mountains. Geological monitoring andresearches show that the Tianchi volcano regional crustal activities havebecome increasingly frequent, which indicate the possibility of a potentialeruption in the future. Therefore, in order to protect people’s lives and safety,reduce property damage socioeconomic; guarantee urbanization, industrialand economic rational distribution; promote sustainable social and economicdevelopment， protection of the ecological environment provides securityrecommendations volcanic hazards, this paper, which Jilin ProvinceEarthquake Council " Changbai Mountain Tianchi volcano disaster plan"project–based, aims to study the risk assessment of the Tianchi volcanodisaster. Through a lot of the volcanic hazards disaster response mechanismand related literature reading, summarize the domestic and internationalpresent situation of the volcanic disaster, learn basic information of Tianchivolcano; considering the risks associated three major factors: the affectedarea hazard risk, vulnerability of disaster area, disaster prevention andmitigation capabilities were studied.Firstly， identify risk factors in the study area, summarize into gas，solid, fluid three categories of hazards and disasters in the form of basiccharacteristics, the analysis of each hazard risk; Secondly, learn from thepredecessors”ancient theory today" research method, regards theChangbaishan Tianchi volcano thousand-year-eruption as the researchbackground, define the scope of the various hazards, use ArcGIS to draw eachhazard zoning map combined with the township actual situation of socialfactors on the basis of the affected areas, administrative areas for eachaffected conducting vulnerability identification, and Tianchi volcanocomprehensive disaster risk assessment, the results showed that: ChangbaiKorean Autonomous County covering most affected area, followed by FuSongXian, Antu County, and Long City and Hakusan City;2) Baishan citybecause of its largest and most densely populated, suffers the most seriouslosses in all losts;3) to the caldera centered in the0-60km range, suffers themost serious degree of population casualties， includes about half of theoverall number of casualties; within60-90km range, arable land and fixedassets destroyed are definitely serious; finally, build a structure of Tianchivolcano disaster emergency management initiatives considering in thefollowing three elaborates:disaster prevention and early warningmechanisms, the mid-disaster emergency management, post-disasterrehabilitation and reconstruction to improve the ability of disasterprevention and mitigation.
