Volcanic eruption is a form of underground magmatic activity,an expression of the earth's energy balance,and a natural geological phenomenon.For thousands of years,volcanic activity was widespread concerned that many serious volcanic disasters and secondary disasters caused by volcanic eruption.Volcanic disaster is a disaster phenomenon of crowd casualties and destruction of material wealth caused by volcanic activity,which influences climate and ecological environment and brings a great harm to human life and property.In december,1987,the 42nd United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution,which called the 10 years from 1991 to 2000 to" International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction",and mitigating volcanic hazards is one of the major contents,which is in the sixth row of major natural disaster.Most researches on volcanic hazards focus on the content of the volcanic geology,volcanic early warning methods,zoning map of volcanic hazards and volcanic disaster prevention and reduction,but the specialized risk assessment of volcanic hazards study of the integrated system is still very rare,and there is no uniform system of criteria and indicators in volcanic hazards risk assessment.This study used natural disasters science, volcanology,risk assessment and management of science,mathematics,GIS and many other disciplines,theories and methods,based on natural data and socio-economic statistical data, and used GIS technology,natural disaster risk index method,AHP,the weighted score method, such technology and research methods,zones out the risk map of Changbai Mountain volcanic hazards of single-factor and comprehensive factor,and put out the disaster risk management measures of volcanic hazard of Changbai Mountain.According to the mechanism of formation of natural disaster risk assessment,we conclude that the risk assessment of volcanic hazards is the compositive results of the hazard, exposure,vulnerability and emergency response and recovery ability.This paper includes the following four major parts:(1)The disaster risk analysis of the study area of volcanic disaster in Changbai Mountain region,including the risk factors identification and disaster risk analysis of volcanic disaster in Changbai Mountain region.(2)Selecting the risk evaluation index system and modeling the evaluation model of volcanic disaster in Changbai Mountain region.(3)Risk assessment and zoning of volcanic disaster in Changbai Mountain region, including single-factor evaluation and zoning of the Changbai Mountain volcano hazard, exposure,vulnerability,assessment of disaster prevention and reduction capacity,and comprehensive evaluation and zoning of volcanic disaster in Changbai Mountain region.(4)Emergency management response based on the risk assessment and zoning map of volcanic disaster in Changbai Mountain region.There is still a certain gap between volcanic hazards of the current research in our country compared to international standards,but our country is gradually improving our capability of disaster prevention and mitigation of natural disasters,therefore,in this study, there are broad prospects,with a certain amount of economic and social benefits,providing technical and theoretical support of disaster prevention and reduction to government departments.
