With the aggravation of global climate change, the glaciers shrink generally, sostudying the change of runoff and glacier about the river basin which located at thearid region has an important significance. By using meteorological date, runoff dateand glacier date of Hami region during recent30years, Mann-Kendall method,Wavelet analysis method, and so on. Runoff change characteristics and therelationship between runoff and climate, the relationship between runoff and glacierwere analyzed.Several conclusions were drawn in this paper as follows:(1)The runoff distribution has a great difference in Hami region.Runoff wasmainly concentrate in May and September, runoff peak in July, October to thefollowing in March was relatively small. For the river which supplied by precipitation, such as Toudaogou, the runoff in spring and summer have a great pupation in a year. The river which supplied by ice and snow melt water, such as Weizixia, thedistribution of runoff is relatively homogeneous.(2)The annual runoff change was mainly divided into two situations, for thearea which supplied by ice and snow melt water had an increasing trend, with the areawhich supplied by no ice and snow melt water showed obvious decreasing trend.TheK mandC vof runoff in the region where supplied by no snow melt water greaterthan the region where supplied by snow melt water. For example, Toudaogou is notsupplied by glacier melt water.(3) Mann-Kendall mutational analysis showed that the increasing mutationsbegin in1990of Yushugou outbound; Baiji without significant mutation; the reducemutations begin in2002of Toudaogou; the mutations begin in1994of Weiixia andthe increasing trend more obvious.(4)Cycle analysis showed that Toudaogou, Baiji, Yushugou and Weizixia havea common change cycle. Four hydrological stations have around15a cycle. And thereis8~9a cycle in Baiji and Yushugou.(5)In the context of global warming, the temperature has a raise trend in Hamiregion recent30years. With the growth of elevation, the precipitation and the variation of precipitation has an increasing trend. The precipitation has an increasingtrend in Toudaogou station and a decreasing trend in other three station. The runoffchange was mainly affected by temperature and precipitation in Hami region.Analysis showed that the monthly runoff and the temperature of ablation period hadobvious index relationship, when the temperature of ablation period was greater than15℃, runoff was accelerated growth. The correlation coefficient of precipitation andrunoff less than the0.5, so has a low correlation.(6)In Miaoergou and Yushugou, the glacier areas have a reduce, the thinning ofthe glacier thickness and the shrinkage of the terminal of glacier. But contrast to theUrumqi River Glacier No.1, glacier change has a smaller change in Hami region.Base on the amount of glacier, the runoff change quickly and also appearing flood, therunoff have a reduce trend in a region where have no glacier. The runoff is increasingbefore2000, but the runoff become reduce recently in another region where have littleglacier. The runoff change keep increasing trend, but tend to small in still anotherregion where have a lot of glacier, such as Yushugou.
