A Study On The Expansion Utility Of The Urban Land Use

The urban social economic development is mutually interacted with the expansion of the land use. With speeding up the course of the urbanization in our country, the way of the land use is during the transitional period from extensive cultivation to the intensive connotation. How to enhance the efficiency of the land use and how to solve the contradiction to satisfy the demand of the cities' reasonable land use for development and at the same time control the ultra conventional urban land expansion, which become an important problem urgently to be solved in the new period. Chongqing can be taken as the miniature of the national different region for its "the big city raises the big village" typical characters: it both has the developed metropolis economic cycle which approaches the level of the eastern China's development, and also has the West-Chongqing economic corridor which approaches the level of central China's development, and more it is in the Three-Gorges reservoir at the western China's level of development. This article take Chongqing as the example, conducts the research on the utility of land expansion in cities and towns, makes exploration on different land expansion scale, its benefit changing types and rules.
