The relationship between income distribution and economic growth has been one of the problems mostly discussed in economic circles, and one of the contentious issues in economic research. It's very necessary to analyze and discuss the relationship deeply and systematically according to the current economic condition and environment by using scientific thinking and methods. Along with the economic growth in Jilin Province, income distribution became one of the main factors affecting economic growth through consumption and investment in national economy. Conversely, economic growth regulated income distribution continuously, too. It's necessary to investigate the trend, the reason, the proper policies and measurements for improvement in margin extension. It's also necessary to investigate the influence of income margin to the economic growth in Jilin Province, and vice versa.This dissertation analyzed the income distribution margin, and the developmental trends, characteristics and causes of economic growth in Jilin Province in the recent 10 years from three aspects: total supply, gross demand and residents'income distribution. The method used here was the combination of time sequence data and section data, the static analysis and dynamic analysis. Gini coefficient, added variation coefficient and the GDP growth rate were adopted. The relativity between residents'income margin and the economic growth in Jilin Province was analyzed with positive research methods. The influence of economic growth on income margin in Jilin Province was studied by retrogressive method and the hypothesis of converse"U"was verified.
