A Study On The Relation Between Sandy Desertification And Sustainable Of Qitai In Xin Jiang

Sandy desertification is a kind of land degradation, which takes place in arid semi-arid and dry sub-humid regions. It is one of the global environmental problems concerned by human society. There are direct relations between existence and development of mankind. Qitai County lies at the south edge of Junggar Basin .it is arid and windy and it is the area where the land desertification is being developed in our country., Because of rapid population growth and excessive land development , sandy desertification has already become a main obstacle to local socio-economic development Since 1980s. The driving forces of sandy desertification development are main problems in recent study and prevention of desertification. This problems is very important for determining the direction of regional economic, the evaluation of the environmental quality, the macro-policy-making and measure-selection of desertification control so, this study has not only important theory meaning but also obvious realistic meaning and high practical value.According to the relevant materials of field investigating and land desertification and economy, two factors of sandy desertification are summed up, including natural factors and human factors. It is more outstanding of relationship between sand desertification,precipitation,average temperature and power of the wind. These are the materials bases for the sand desertification expanding that made-ups is loosed and sand source is abundant in Qitai County. It is the other natural factor that the arid and windy climate conditions happen in the same time. Unreasonable human activity and unreasonable policy are the main human factors.With the fast increase of the population, the food demand was increased. It resulted in the cultivation of much rangeland, which led to the meadow desertification because of overload in grassland. And after population increases, for keeping their live hood people who raise domestic animals increase their livestock, which is not only the cause of the desertification, but also the general mode of desertification developing.
