The global world economy makes our financial circles especially bank circles full of vitality and competity. The large scale of foreign capital banks and share system reform of the state-owned banks have brought new reqirment to the development of some native banks of middle and small sizes. Since there are lots of disadvantages in many fields in those business banks of middle and small sizes, such as system, service, fund, technology, person of ability,etc, the traditional operation concept could not win a victory in the competition. The real way to expand is only to establish special ability in the field of value creation, so that the traditional concept could be able to set up its own competitive superiority. This article utilizes relatively researching method, inductive method, deductive method and SWOT and so on to analyze the strategic selection of Nanjing Branch of China Merchants Bank which possessing competitive ability, the strategic selection which also means the creative ability insists on the concept of "prestige, service, flexiblity, creation", takes the market requirment as orientation , affords the customers service of high quality and high efficiency constantly. This ability has been made Nanjing Branch of China Merchants Bank obviously outstanding among reletive competitive fields.
