After PetrolChina Company Limited went public, petroleum enterprises facemore competitive environment, especially for power plant of oil field. It has beenoperated monopolistically for such a long period, with its special position inpetroleum enterprise, and hence, its market competitive ability is still weak. A longrun monopolistic operation, with unification of generation-transformation-distributionprocesses, leads to high cost development and resource waste. It becomes a verysignificant project to study how the power plants are run and developed.This paper conducts an empirical strategy study for power plant of Zhundong oilfield. Regarding the needs of power plant of oil field after the reform of oil fieldadministrative system, we first analyzes the market structure of power industry, andenvironments of the economic, industrial, and market for power plants, from strategymanagement point of view. Then we propose the development direction of Zhundongpower plant. We also study the strategy objective, strategy position and relatedprinciples, by using such approach as SWOT model. And finally, we propose relevanttactics for implementation. |
