The Regional Corresponding And Governance Of Yangtze River Delta

The recent research emphasis of western academic community is focusing on the Polycentric Urban Region (PURs) similar to the Yangtze River delta .The PURs is a special type of town-dense region. In this kind of region, the coordination capability between a city and the region are less than the hierarchy town-dense region and the disorder competition are more fierce than the latter one for many reasons such as the polycentric of political center and the region management system, therefore, it is especially essential to study the reform of region governance.This thesis sums up the theoretical results of the PURs and regulation and the practice on the basis of the research of the region regulation theory. Besides this, this paper also interpret the basic demand of the region regulation restructure of the PURs, and finally after the empirical research of the Yangtze river delta, it makes an initial plan to the innovation of region system according to actual situation of the Yangtze river delta using the PURs regulation model of western countries.The theory and practice of domestic research on the region regulation are still in a weak form if we take a look at the domestic situation. We are eager to construct a democratic, fair, simple, efficient and right-responsibility balanced region government according to the actual situation of Yangtze River delta taking an advantage of the theoretical results of the PURs and regulation and the practice of the western countries using theoretical as well as empirical analysis. And in the meanwhile it also the goal of this paper to extend the horizontal regulation system of the Yangtze river delta to a net regulation system by establishing the Yangtze river delta forum and reforming the political system of the local government, therefore it will solve the various problems in the social, economic and environmental fields efficiently and make the Yangtze River delta keeps a sustainable development.
