Efficiency of team work and job satisfaction are core issues in organizational study. To improve the productivity of team, a team-based reward system should be used. This study examined the difference, of team performance in team-based and individual-based reward systems and discussed team building in team-based and individual-based reward systems in terms of team goal-setting, team climate, and work value. The main results are as follows:1, In team-based reward system, participation in the team goal-setting process is found to be an important variable of the success of the reward system, while in the individual-based reward system, the difficulty of team goal is a key component of the system.2, Team spirit seems to have significant influence on team cooperation in team-based reward system. In individual-based reward system, team cooperation is independent from variables of team climate.3, The effect of team goal-setting process on the team climate is contingent on the reward systems.4, By Comparing the individual-based rewards with the team-based rewards, we find in some types of teams, the team-based reward system is particularly effective. 5, A work value system should be set up to match with the two reward systems.
