All along,scholars from various fields have emphasized the important role of trust in organizations and the path of trust and various influencing factors.In recent years,many scholars' researches show that the rewards method has obvious influence on the trust in the organization.Individual rewards and team-based rewards are two kinds of rewards methods that are often used in enterprises.However,the research results are not uniform as to the impact of these two rewards modes on trust.Some scholars believe that the team-based rewards makes the members of the enterprise cooperative,so it is more conducive to increase the trust between the members of the enterprise than the individual rewards with competitive.However,some scholars also found that in practice,the team-based rewards is not so effective in increasing the trust among employees,and sometimes even plays a negative role.In addition,most of the studies on trust in organizations are conducted under European and American cultures.European and American scholars think that China is a country with low trust.Therefore,their findings may not necessarily be established under the Chinese culture.Besides,We suspect that inconsistencies in this conclusion may be related to the type of business they are using.Therefore,this paper studies the impact on trust by using individual rewards based on the relative relative performance and team-based rewards based on the joint performance in different types of enterprises in China.In this paper,the employees of state-owned enterprises,private-owned enterprises and foreign-funded enterprises in China are taken as the research objects.After treating them individually based on the relative performance of the individual rewards and the team-based rewards based on the joint performance,observing their trust behavior in subsequent non-repetitive trust games Performance,our research shows that:(1)Under our country's culture,the level of trust among strangers is comparable to that of other countries participating in the same trust game.(2)Without considering the type of firm from which the experimenter came from,simply comparing the team reward methods based on joint performance and individual reward methods based on relative performance has the same effect on trust between experimenters.(3)In the state-owned enterprises,using the team reward method based on the joint performance can increase the trust between the enterprise members more than using the individual reward method based on the relative performance.(4)In private enterprises,the use of individual rewards based on relative performance is more effective than the use of team-based rewards based on joint performance.(5)In the foreign-funded enterprises,there is no difference in trust between experimenters when using the individual reward method based on relative performance and the team-based reward method based on joint performance,all of which obviously increase their trust.Finally,this article briefly discusses the possible reasons for the discussion to produce such a result,and gives some practical suggestions to our country's enterprise managers.
