The thesis successively displayed the position of storefront management in the management system of chain retail trade from retail trade to chain retail storefront first, and then summarized and abstracted some patterns of storefront management and compared and analyzed the above patterns. On the basis of above research the thesis used the systems analysis method in storefront management established the storefront system pattern, analyzed the internal relation of all parts of the storefront system, evaluate the run-efficiency of the system, and introduced the concept of the general competition of storefront and established the evaluation system of the general competition, and tried to provide the theory guidance on how to heighten the general competition of storefront for chain retail enterprises. While it explained the position of the storefront management in the management system of the whole chain retail trade, the thesis successively introduced the retail trade and its eight revolutions, correlative theories about retail trade, and chain retail running on which the thesis explained the task and role of storefront management. Then the thesis analyzed and summarized some patterns of storefront management: the storefront management pattern on the basis of experiment, the pattern in which the core is value chain, the pattern on the basis of service and marketing and the elaborate pattern. The author was enlightened by the system theory on the basis of storefront management pattern and proposed to use the systems method in storefront management. With the guidance of the system theory the thesis established the storefront system pattern and defined the environment and perimeter, import and export, internal parts and feedback segments of storefront system and so on. The storefront system pattern clarified the environment of storefront system which was composed of the general environment and special environment: the former included policy law, population, economy, society and science technology and so on; the latter included chain headquarters, suppliers, community, consumers and so on. The internal parts of storefront system included personnel, commodity, consumer, seller's market, logistic sustaining subsystem and so on. And then the thesis analyzed the storefront system, interpreted the internal relation of all parts of storefront system, evaluated some elements correlated with the run-efficiency of the system and analyzed the relation between the run-efficiency of the system and the general competition of storefront. Finally the thesis established the evaluation system and selected AHP and the model of Fuzzy Comprehensive Estimation as the main method evaluating the general competition of storefront. The author referred to a mass of literature and consulted craft brothers. The thesis used the research method of the theory combined with practice and after establishing the evaluation system of the general competition of storefront the thesis briefly evaluated the general competition of storefront about zhongbei road branch store of Wuhan Carrefour.
