The competition contributes to improving resource allocative efficiency and promoting the social welfare, but strengthening the competition without limits, it will lead to excessive industrial competition.At present, the world is strongly innovated by economic globalization, knowledge economy and WTO, so is China. Therefore, China's economic development is performing under numerous complicated external factors in the period of economic and institutional transition.Nowadays China's industrial organization is improved to some extent, but some industries which are in favor of economies of scale came to excessive competition under various factors. Economic development proves that excessive competition affects the industrial performance and reduces the social welfare.In consequence, searching out the reason of excessive industrial competition in China's economic transition is very essential in order to improve China's industrial organization.This thesis mainly uses industrial organization theory (S-C-P) and related economic and managerial theories to investigate China's excessive industrial competition.The thesis is composed of preface and 4 chapters. The preface introduces the purpose and international research outcome of excessive competition. The first chapter presents the economic definition, evaluating index and effect of excessive competition. The second chapter adopts stacks of data to illustrate the situation of China's excessive industrial competition. Afterwards, the reasons why China's excessive industrial competition took place are released in the third chapter. In the end, the last chapter tables a proposal of how to improve China's present industrial organization.
