Demand Chain Management(DCM) is the recently new development of Supply Chain Management. DC shows that businesses are strongly focused on demand of customer .From addressing to meeting demand of customer, Demand Chain runs through all the business activity of it, The basic thought of DCM is that it is oriented from market and demand of customer, that its objects are enhancing competitive power, possession ratio of market, satisfaction ratio of customer, gaining the largest profits. Its operational pattern is collaborative commerce, collaborative competition and multi-winning. Through running administrating thinking, method, information technology, internet technology and integration technology of modern business, DCM can effectively program and control information flow, logistics, financial flow, work flow on Demand Chain.On the base of summarizing research on Demand Chain Management in China and out of China, this thesis has researched DCM on E-commerce. That is to say, the following is researched:1. E-DCM. This thesis introduces definition of EC firstly. Then the thesis introduces definition of DC, basic principle and key content of DCM. Thirdly, this thesis researches the key differentiation between DCM and SCM and bullwhip effect of DCM. Fourthly, we research the relationship between EC and DCM from two sides: EC takes effects on DCM and DCM brings innovation to EC, moreover, it analyzes superiority and performance of E-DCM.2. DCM mode and DCMS on EC. The thesis mostly researches DCM mode from three sides: customer management, supplier management, logistics management. Furthermore, it researches DCMS from three aspects which are designing DCMS meaning, thinking method of DCMS, framework of DCMS.3. DCM performance on EC. The thesis discusses DCM performance from two aspects: a typology of demand chains and demand chain trajectories. Moreover, a conclusion is drawn that improvement of relative supply lead times should be prioritized over demand information transfer.
