The Study Of Development Of Satellite City In Chengdu

When the big city runs to a certain phase, some problems appear including large population, traffic problem, insufficient public instruments, environment pollution and so on. The old city cannot catch up with the development. The expansion of big city influences the suburb, one of it's trends is fonnatting some satellite-cities around the big city.Though the development of satellite-city in Chengdu is a little bit late, the satellite-city such as Shuangliu, Longquan, Qinbaijiang and Pixian contact with Chengdu tightly, and the future is happy. But what is the standard to choose the satellite-city, which suburb is suitable to be the satellite-city, how about it's scope and how to select the developing pattern, all these issues are lacking of indication by theory.This article described the theory of satellite-city by the numbers, summarized the experience and lecture of native and foreign, then provided the instruction and experience for Chengdu. Researching about the background of Chengdu's satellite-city, this article analyzed the necessity to develop satellite-city in Chengdu lengthways, ascertained Chengdu's satellite-city by the Analytic Hierarchy Process, and analyzed reality and problem. At last, this article defined the function of each satellite-city and put forward policy advice.
