The Research On The Transformation And Upgrading Of Urban Function Of Pixian Satellite City

18th CPC National Congress put forward“human-centered”as the core of the New-type Urbanization. The local people`s congresses and governments at various levels promulgate a series of policies and planning. Chengdu proposed the construction of seven satellite cities, which is as the carrier of the New-type Urbanization. With development of internal issues and the change and of the external environment, it is very significant to keep up with the forefront research results of satellite city, especially on the study of urban function. How to mining Pixian`s area development potentials, recognizing the surrounding space pattern,giving full play to the advantage of industrial and environment, which plays a key role to the transformation and upgrading of urban function. Moreover,it is an important work to summarize the ways of the transformation and upgrading of urban function of Pixian.The author not only carries out a field survey but also reviews of the literature both at home and abroad. Based on the research of the theory of the New-type Urbanization and urban function of satellite city, The author summarizes the basic situation of Pixian location, including transportation, social, ecological, cultural and educational aspects and so on, and analysis the evolution of history and practice of construction of this area. Based on Location Quotient Analysis,the author out the characteristics and problems of the urban function of Pixian. By using S.W.O.T. Analysis, the author elaborates the opportunities and challenges from the both side internal and external environment, which Pixian have to face on the way of transformation and upgrading of urban function..In this paper,here are several research findings followed. First of all, The author puts forward the specific methods of transformation and upgrading of urban function in Pixian satellite city,which including the overall strategic positioning, urban system and traffic organization, industrial layout, culture and environment. Moreover,the author raises the measures and functions of the layout scheme of transformation and upgrading of urban function. At last, the author proposes some concrete countermeasures and suggestions as a local resident,which is originates from the experience of daily life in Pixian for almost 4 years. It is aim to enhance the operability of this research.
