Organizational Structure (OS) is a carrier for an enterprise to achieve strategy objective and to build core competence, however Chinese business circles still do not attach much more importance on core competence. All the time, managers focus on the company's management and the marketing, and people seldom make a systematical survey of the company's internal system, culture environment and the OS form from the view of core competence. As a matter of fact, it's these factors that can exactly decide a company's ebbs and flows in the market competition.The competition pressure forces the corporation to review and reconstruct its internal organizational structure, organizational frame and the business process. My paper goes deep into the analysis of organizational structure of Changqing Petroleum Exploration Bureau(CPEB), which captures the CPEB'OS as the cut point, and is set in the social technical environmental system background formed by the globalized economy, advanced informationized technology, and current severe competition, and is based on the Three Theory- "Organizational Transformation Theory"," Business Process Reengineering Theory" as well as "Management Range Theory". As a result, the two rational reform models for the OS of CPEB are found. They are Parent-Subsidiary Company Management System and Divisional System. The new models will facilitate the effective enforcement of the reorganization strategy of CPEB, and meanwhile speed up the internal structure regulation of CPEB. Importantly, they establish a substantial platform for promoting core competence of CPEB, provide a guarantee for CPEB to carry out diversified developing strategies, and also offer a firm support for CPEB to expand its business to the more challenging and promising fields.The paper comprises seven chapters. The first chapter elaborates background of selectedthesis, its actual significance and research methods, research frame; The second chapter sets forth the theory basis; The third chapter evaluates the actual state of Organizational Structure; The fourth and the fifth chapter supply a general design for CPEB's OS; The sixth chapter gives the detailed countermeasures focused on the BPR for the organizational structure optimization; The last chapter summaries the key points and meanwhile draws a rational conclusion. My research comes from practice and should set a good guidance to serve practice.
