A Study On The Territorial Tourism Resource Evaluation Index System And Evaluation Method

Tourism resource is the objective body of tourism industry. To evaluate tourism resource scientifically, will be of great significance in rationally programming and effectively exploiting tourism resource, quickening the construction of tourism places and promoting the development of tourism industry.Firstly, this thesis introduces the contribution of tourism industry to the development of national economy, the basic functions, comprehensive features and general evaluation methods of tourism resource. Large amount of data are adopted to illustrate the important position of tourism industry in national economy, such as the number of foreign travelers to China and domestic travelers, foreign exchange and domestic tourism income, their percentages in China's DP within certain period, and the comparison of these data. Meanwhile, the thesis studies those quantitative and qualitative methods currently used in evaluating tourism resource at home and abroad , and carries out a comparative analysis among them. Then ,puts forward a new method "Fuzzy Evaluation Method" to solve the problem and shortcomings of tourism resource evaluation in China.Secondly, this thesis deeply studies fuzzy evaluation. Since fuzzy mathematics can properly solve the problem of transforming qualitative analysis to quantitative analysis, can heighten the scientific level of project decision-making by scientific calculation and rational judgment. However, it is still a new field for fuzzy method used in tourism resource evaluation. After conscientious comparison and in-depth study, the thesis points out that only M(.,+)model suits tourism resource evaluation best. Based on this, the thesis sets up a comprehensive evaluation index system of tourism resource by taking Liaoning coastal tourism places as examples, gets tourism resource's valuation value by calculating the weights of evaluation factors, and evaluated the difference of tourism resources among those tourism places.At last, the evaluation results shows that the development of tourism industry in Liaoning coastal areas is quite dis-equilibrium. Dalian is a developed area in tourism, but some areas with great potentials in tourism are still in their initial stage or develop slowly. Based on the research result, this thesis puts forward a plan toprogram and exploit tourism resource, and suggestions to protect and construct tourism resource for these areas.
