| As for contractors, bidding is significant to their survival. The causes include three aspects: (1) Bidding is the guarantee of contractors'strategic goals. Only through proper bidding decisions, the contractors could reach hyper-economy and improve their ratio of market occupancy. (2)Bidding is the precondition of gaining profit for contractors. None but proper risk estimation of bidding strategy and their own technology could lead them to win the bid and profit. (3)Bidding is the key factor of market competition for contractors. Under the circumstances of increasingly market competition, contractors could only win every game by improving their ability of bidding. However, contractors in China still hold many problems when bid, extortionate bidding price, and under-low bidding price are two of these problems both of which will lose their superiority. The causes also include three of aspects :( 1) Contractors misunderstand bill of quantities and its calculation of bidding markup. (2) Contractors lack of proper use of bidding strategy that increase their risk. (3)Contractor lack of computer aided bidding software that increase their cost of bidding and decrease their efficiency of bidding. According to the before-mentioned causes and the production of developing computer aided bidding software by author, the approach of bill of quantities is systematically analyzed in this paper and the abuse of traditional approach of ration will point out. Meanwhile, constitutes of bidding price of B.Q and calculation of markup are also analyzed, and then, an applied model of unbalanced bidding and corresponding calculation instance are put forward, which may serve as a theoretical and practical guidance for the contractors. Base on which, a computer aided bidding system is set up through system analysis and its framework will be characterized. At the end of this paper, the production of the system is shown and suggestions for future study are also put forward. |
