As a new economic organization mode, cluster is becoming a focus studied by Economic Geography, Economics, Management Science and Sociology, which has brought an extensive and deep impact in many areas and countries. Industrial cluster can help the enterprises in the cluster get the external scale economy, reduce the business cost and strengthen the competition and collaboration; thereby it can enhance the competitive advantages, improve the competition power and accelerate the economy development of the enterprises. The industrial cluster correlates with not only the market elements as the elements supply, the market demand and the correlative industry, but also the impact of the government, the chances and the culture, etc. Xindu furniture cluster in Sichuan province, which was formed mostly by the small and middle scaled enterprises, has been the backbone for the local economy development, the key finance income of the local government and the example for developing the cluster of the township enterprises.This article was based on the theory of Porter's "diamond" theory, it studied the furniture clusters in Xindu, analyzed its competition advantages and problems, discussed its development and optimization, which provided a consult for the economy development in other districts. There are five parts in the text.The first part reviewed the theory of the cluster development, pointed out that the discussion of this article was guided by Porter's "diamond" theory.The second part discussed that the industrial cluster is a kind of strategic mode for the economy development, according to the definition and character of the clusters, types of the clusters, the advantages of the competition and stratagem application, etc.The third part used the diamond system mode, analyzed strategically the competition advantages inferior positions of the furniture cluster in Xindu from the key elements of production elements, demand condition, the correlative industries, the competition among the same industries, the chances and the governments, it pointed out the chances and challenges of the furniture cluster in Xindu.The fourth part discussed the optimizations stratagem of the furniture cluster in Xindu. It began from the stratagem analysis in the third part, using the " diamond " theory mode, it discussed the development stratagem for the future of the furniture cluster in Xindu.The last part drew a conclusion and pointed out the deficiencies in this text.
