Study On The Support System For Virtual Enterprise Partner Selection

The virtual enterprise mainly aims at the conformity of the core competence resources, which means the enterprise centralizes the investment and management on the core competences of itself, while for the incompetence, it can turns its steps on the partners. The problem of partner selection for the virtual enterprise is very vital, which directly affects the result of the virtual enterprise. At the same time, the partner selection and optimization is the important phase of the formation of the virtual enterprise. In this phase, it needs to measure all sorts of factors, to check the candidates comprehensively, and to select the optimal partners combination. Research on the partner selection has been the hotspot since the concept of virtual enterprise was put forward in 1991. However, the researchers primarily focus on the index system or the selecting means, but yet without a systematic project. Furthermore, the process of the partner selection has the characters of dynamic combination, multi-index and substantial result, which accords with the features of the bad configuration decision. It is benefiting to use the decision support system to deal with that sort of problems. Based on all consideration, this paper engages in the research and development of DSS for the virtual enterprise partner selection to the effect that an effectual support is offered for the initiator to select perfect partners. At first, the dissertation summarizes the theories in relation to my research about virtual enterprise and DSS, and analyzes some problems about partner selection nowadays. Common methods for core competence identification and partner selection are discussed later. In system analysis and design, considering the newest development of computer technology sufficiently, the whole structure and functions are designed of the support system, on the foundation of which, the data ware system is formed with the concept designing, the logic designing and the physical designing. As for the model base system the configuration is given detailed descriptions. What's more, the knowledge base system and the problem process system both are designed in plain. At last, the dissertation carries through a demonstration with the project of the Huachen automobile corporation using different methods to select the partners, and the selecting result reconciles with the corporation's demands, which testifies that the system achieved the designing goal and has something of practicability and universality.
