Research On Supply & Logistics Management Of Chongqing Electric Power Corporation

The backgrounds of the research: 1) continuous and fast economy development led to rapid rise of electricity demand, which forced two thirds of China to have to face power supply difficulty. A new round of intensive electric power investment have pushed the electric equipment market into the sellers' side. 2) After becoming the fourth municipality, the newly established Chongqing Electric Power Corporation (CQEP) strived to promote its management and development, not only in its core business of power supply but also in its versatile management fields so as to realize its strategic goal of becoming the first grade power company. 3) Making use of the conclusions and suggestions of Accenture's consulting achievement about the supply management of CQEO, to work out an effective logistics solutions for CQEP in the present situation.The article's contributions: 1) it discussed several main logistics models in today's China and especially the logistics model of "united bidding and purchase" in some industries as a self-disciplined practice. 2) Based on the analysis of logistics operation, it analyzed and compared with other power companies in China the present management and its problems of CQEP, and proposed a best cooperation model between CQEP and its purchase agent—Chongqing Sunter Group. 3) It pointed out that CQEP should pay more attention to establish a system of administration, instruction, and monitoring of the logistics in the corporation, and let the daily management work to be carried out by its purchase agent. 4) The purchase agent Chongqing Sunter Group's scheme to reform to provide all-around quality services to CQEP and other customers.The market plays a most important role in today's economy in China and is demanding more and more breakdowns of industry monopolies. Logistics companies with industry background or platform should hasten to promote and obtain core competitive ability and build core business in a special field effectively and efficiently, thus to be in a position replaceable and win a fast and steady foothold in future's development.
