Attention And Regional Economic Growth

It is the author's new try to regard attention as a kind of key element for the regional economic growth, this kind of try is main based on two respects of reason: First, the input of attention is necessary for all economic activities , and, with the growth of the regional economy, the proportion of the brain workers is increasing, and the brain workers mainly input a kind of psychological resource known as attention during the process of working, this means that the proportion of inputting attention is increasing constantly as economic growth. Meanwhile, it is need to pay more attention to discern , choose , process and utilize information when information increases speedily. However, because information can be stored and attention can not be stored, so, to a large amount of information, attention demonstrates rare , the rarity of attention then leads to the deficiency about the input of attention, and then influences the degree that information functions, and thus influences the regional economic growth. Second, attention not only acts on the regional economic growth directly, but also acts on the regional economic growth indirectly, because the gather of attention can lead other key element to gather in the areas, and the more attention gathers, the easy promote other key element to gather. In addtion, the gather in the areas of attention can improve the popularity of the areas which can settle solid foundation for long-term growth of the regional economy.How is the thesis to arrange its content? Firstly, the author analyses the definition, the intension, and the characteristics of attention, the relation of attention and information, the disposition question of attention to information. Then, the author analyses the function mechanism which attention promotes the regionaleconomic growth. Finally, the author provides strategy and tactics that some areas attract attention to gather. Particularly, the thesis includes three parts:First part : attention is the key element of the regional economic growth. The content of this part is very abundant, the author mainly discusses the definition , the intension , the classification , the characteristic of attention , the abstractness and concrete of attention, the author also discusses such contents about traditional key element , the key element of information , the key element of attention of the regional economic growth, etc.Second part: The function mechanism which attention promotes the regional economic growth. The content of this part is the key of the thesis. The author point out that attention not only acts on the regional economic growth directly, but also acts on the regional economic growth indirectly. On the one hand, attention directly promotes the growth of the regional economy; on the other hand, the gather of attention can lead other key element to gather in the same areas.The third part: The strategy and tactics to attract attention to gather in some areas. In this part of contents, the author attempts to propose some measures and suggestions to gather attention in some areas, these measures and suggestions include improving the regional image, bettering cities' management and marketing, developing the regional media, and developing the exhibition economy and tourist economy ,etc. Meanwhile, in this part, the author also discusses how the regional policy is helpful to attract attention.
