Wireless radio frequency (RF) communication technology is developing quite fast recently since its technology characters of low-power, high-speed, low-cost,and short-range adaptation. Thanks to the derived properties of decreasing the construction cost of the wireless communication network, and enhancing the flexibility of networking while ensuring the reliability of wireless communication system, the combination of wireless radio frequency communication and the developed GPRS/CDMA technology will have great value in the field of wireless communication application.The modernization of cities is putting forward continuously in recent years, urban street and landscape lamp construction is an important part in improving urban landscape, how to efficiently manage the increasing complex urban lighting and landscape lamp system is the important issue that not only related to urban environmental protection and energy conservation, but also related to urban safety. The conventional monitoring system, which is depending on force electric and wire communication, is easy-jammed by the load, working unstably, failing often, difficult to maintain, relying on manual inspection, and is proved to be a waste of manpower and material resources. This approach has been unable to meet the growing requirements of urban lighting and landscape lamp.In this thesis, after introducing the characteristics and the research status of street lamp monitoring communication system, a new approach based on RF communication and GPRS/CDMA technology is applied in street lamp monitoring communication system. The physical layer realization of street lamp monitoring communication system is researched after introducing whole network structure.Specifically speaking, streetlight monitoring system components, the project requirement and related technologies are briefly described and analyzed at first, then a concrete solution is giving. What's more, the physical layer of RF communication is researched. Beginning with the RF chip and the MCU selection, brief introductions and configurations of these two chips are done and software solution is completed either. Further more, the wireless communications module has been designed. The final system testing and network construction are finished at last. The solution of street lamp monitoring system physical layer is successfully completed.
