Generating realistic 3D human face models has always been a persistent challenger problem in computer graphics.The modeling and animation of realistic human face has almost 30 years as an identifiable area. The high development of multimedia technology requires that computers can communicate with human by rich behavior emotion. Although there is a strong resemblance among the facial features of individuals, human faces are actually distinct. Besides, faces survey the most comprehensive information such as emotion and spirit condition, so human face modeling and facial animation are important research fields in computer vision and computer graphics.Human face modeling and facial animation often include face features definition, human face reconstruction and expression synthesis.Defining facial feature points is to define the feature points of a real face. These facial feature points must show not only the whole outline of a face, but also the local character of the face componets.Human Face Modeling for special person extracts the feature points from frontispiece and profile pictures, and adjusts the frontispiece and profile of the face model. Map the textures to the model using a cylinder mapping method, and then render the face model by OpenGL framework.Expression Animation Synthesis based on a model of human faces integrated anatomical structures and MPEG-4 standard, can exactly simulate the face movements. The algorithm defined in MPEG-4 to calculate the displacement of vertices with a FAP (Facial animation parameter) and the FaceDefTables is discussed and improved. Combining automatic calculation with handwork, realistic facial animation can be generated. Finally,it generates six expressions, such as smile,sad,anger,surprise,disgust,fear,which has the effect of realistic.In this paper, a system that can take two orthogonal pictures for modeling face and synthesizing expressions is made. It is easy to use and computational complexity is low. This technique can be used in HMI, Virtual Hosting, Net Meeting, Tele education, and many other fields. It has a bright future.
