Geological record is an important part of geological information construction of mine and the workplace safety and insurance of mine, the factors of catalogue mainly include layering configurations, a wide range of geological lineament, structural surface, elements of attitude, nature of ground, kinds of filling and attitude and so on. Now, the operation procedure of common geological documentation is based on manual record and measuring, this method is complex, low geometric accuracy, and results of monitoring cannot be validated, lake of reproducibility and detail structure information are insensitive.To settle problems above, based on studying existing means and systems of geological record, the paper applies digital photogrammetric theory, GIS management technology, computer image processing technology and CAD ActiveX technology, and combined the requirements of geological documentation in mine, to develop and study the geological record system of digital image in mine. This system can accomplish effectively many function through computer such as field terrane-surveying of geology catalog, pick up catalogue factors, fast querying of record results, cartography through CAD technology and so on.This paper illustrated the means and technologies of geological record, deeply studied and represented the system arithmetic. Based on software engineer and object-oriented method designed system structure, function modules, image code and database. Depending on common digital camera, deeply researched digital image processing (DIP) methods, included aberration of camera lens, digital image correction and sewing technique. Accomplished automatic storage and records querying, under the study of digital image geological recording method. Through ActiveX, all geological graphs reached the expected standard.Through practical application prove that this system accomplished basic functions of digital mine geological record, and attaining standards of mine geological catalogue, it resolved many questions of normal geological record to a certain extent, include fatalness, operate intricate, inefficient management for geological record results and so on, and implement digital, accurate and efficient mode for mine geological catalogue.
